This non-smoking self catering accommodation, has been refurbished to offer comfortable, modern, open plan accommodation for stylish living in a peaceful location. The interior is well appointed with a lounge/kitchen . It is bright and sunny in summer  and cosy in winter with french windows looking out to small private garden and young flower meadow beyond.

The kitchen is well equipped and has crockery/glassware for 6 persons and a dishwasher to take care of the dirty dishes. A gas hob, full size electric oven and microwave makes cooking easier and there is  a fridge with freezer box. An iron and hair drier are provided in the Lodge.

The bathroom is the place to be after a long day walking the fells. You can take a long relaxing bath or an invigorating power shower. Both bathroom and toilet are on the ground floor and oversized fluffy white bath towels are provided alongside Gilchrist and Soames toiletries.

The double bedroom is reached by a hand crafted staircase and is a fashionable mezzanine gallery-style. It’s a light and bright, area with real wood flooring, spot lights, another flat screen TV, double wardrobe with one  window looking towards lovely views over meadows and fields and the other window looking out towards Sale Fell.

The location is superb being just 100 metres from the shore side of Bassenthwaite Lake. A gentle stroll to a highly recommended Inn, a brand new distillery and brasserie at the end of the lane and a ten minute drive to the surrounding fells of Skiddaw.  Less than 10 minutes drive to either the bustling tourist town of Keswick or the Georgian Town of Cockermouth (the birth place of William Wordsworth).

The small south facing garden has pleasant views to a young flower meadow. Garden furniture and Barbeque are provided for al fresco dining. There is private parking for 2 cars beside the garden.

The Lodge is centrally heated and provides constant hot water. Bedding, towels and tea towels are included  in the tariff. There is a colour flat screen TV/DVD player and the subtle spotlights and lamps create a relaxing ambience.
